Grown-up in the 80's & 90's: Seen it all from the Commodore 64 to Floppy Disks and from Blackberry to Augmented Reality and self-driving Electrical Vehicles. I'm still waiting for the first real flying car that was promised to us back in the 1960's. I am a pioneer in the field of 3D technology and very passionate about the ongoing digital transformation, disruptive innovation and the current energy transition. I'm a strategic thinker but also be an enthusiastic pragmatist; Strong at consultative sales, digital marketing and business development. Family man, lover of Classic Automobiles, Art Nouveau, Photography, Vincent van Gogh & Frank Sinatra.

TEKSHIFT
Working as Business Development Manager at TeKshift. TeKshift is a renowned automotive engineering company specialized in control software (VCU/BMS) for motorsport, prototyping and special vehicles. I am responsible for sales, marketing and strategy (together with the TeKshift management team).
October 2019 - now
MONCEAU AUTOMOBILES
At Monceau Automobiles, we retrofit Mercedes SL/SLC classics to state-of-the-art and clean electric technology. Clients can expereince the pleasure of driving an iconic classic without worrying about reliability and the environment. I am responsible for strategy, sales/marketing and business development.
June 2018 - now
LEBOIS & CO
In 2018 I have invested in the startup luxury watch brand Lebois & Co. The brand was resurrected, exactly 80 years after the original founding date, at the end of 2014 by watch entrepreneur Tom van Wylick. After a succesful Kickstarter campaign, Tom wants to revive the brand as 'here-to-stay'. I am currently involved as advisor in the field of business development, sales & marketing and strategy.

JORIS WEKT OP
In 2016 I was the initiator of this local co-operative society on renewable energy. In 2017 the actual co-operative society was founded and we started with a team of enthusiastic volunteers. The goal of our co-operative society is local sustainable energy production in which most of the earnings are invested back into society rather than sending all profits to foreign investors or pension funds. The profits will be invested locally in social and sustainable projects within the community, citizen members vote where the money will be spend.

I was Business Development Director and Interim CEO at VRee. VRee is a platform/SDK for simple and easy multi-user and multi-hardware eXtended Reality/Virtual Reality. As interim CEO I lead the team, design together with them on a better proposition and find new clients.

3DIMERCE
I am co-founder and was Managing Director of this great company. Responsible for strategic direction, sales and business development. 3Dimerce is an international renowned name in the field of visual complex product configuration bases on 3D technologies. In 2019 I've sold my shares to the partner shareholders and stayed connected as advisor on sales/business development. Since 2020 I am not involved in 3Dimerce anymore.

CENTRIPLAN
Co-founder in 2007 en commercially and stategically involved within the Management Team. Centriplan is specialised in redrafting analogue floor plans of housing associations and keeping all digitized floor plans up-to-date with the online mutation platform C-Plans. In 2018 I have sold my shares to the existing shareholder. I am currently not involved anymore within the Centriplan organization.

ANNA VAN MILLS
As new fashion label in customizable luxury women's shoes, Anna van Mills started in 2014. With a state-of-the-art product configurator and a manufacturing facility in Italy, AvM had a potential winning combination. As startups tend to be pretty vulnerable, the venture didn't succesfully move towards a feasible business case. In 2017 the brand seized to exist. I was advisor and shareholder in AvM.

CONSULTATIVE SELLING
A winning product always sells
Complex products or services such as software and SaaS products, but also more technical products or innovative services cannot be sold in a traditional way. It requires a different approach and often a continuous refinement of your commercial path. A product or service is constantly in development, same goes for the markets around it. Ultimately, I believe that a good product or service, that is developed with/for an actual target audience, does not require hardcore sales. The trick is to get to that point.
STRATEGY & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Raise the bar
Introducing complex and innovative products to the market is a challenge, both strategically and in terms of business development. Among other things, the right market approach, timing, proposition and the right partners are essential. I like to think along to bring products and services to the market successfully or to make them permanently relevant. I often use the Business Model Canvas as a tool case.

Inspiring and motivating customers, employees, partners and stakeholders is an art in itself. During internal meetings or large conferences I like to play a role as a representative or inspiring speaker.

I have extensive experience in doing business internationally, both within Europe and the US. I speak Dutch, English and German fluently and can also express myself adequately in writing for these three languages. I also have a lot of experience in how to deal with cultural differences; even within Europe that can be a 'make-or-break' in doing business.

In Roermond at Bisschoppelijk College Broekhin I followed the Preparatory Scientific Education (level: Atheneum). I majored in Dutch, English, German, Mathematics A, Economics I, Economics II and Geography. Successfully completed in six years.

First Community Solar Farm
In 2016 I had the idea to set up a local co-operative society for sustainable energy production in our village. In 2017 we started and I am chairman of this new co-operatieve, leading a group of volunteers. In the founding year we started preparing for a first production location. The project started in 2018 and within one year we realized our first Solar Farm of 549 panels in July 2019 on the roof of the local sports hall. Almost 40 participants purchase electricity via a so-called "Postcoderoos project". More projects are now being prepared. More info: www.joriswektop.nl (in Dutch only)

From 3D studio to renowned platform
3Dimerce has been the common thread thoughout my business life sofar and a huge learning experience. Founded in 2001 together with my brother, I moved forward in 2013 by myself when I bought all shares of the company. In 2014 we built the basis of a new software platform for visual product configuration with the help of the European grant OPZuid. Attracted investors in 2016 and started growing the company further. Attracted customers such as Leolux, IWC Schafhausen and Bugaboo International and thus taken a leading role in the market for high-end product configuration. Startup in Swiss Watchmaking
The new Lebois & Co has ambitious plans and has since the resurrection in 2014 introduced two Swiss-Made model series: Avantgarde Date and the Venturist. The new Venturist has a very special new certification; in addition to the standard COSC certification, every individual Venturist is tested by TIMELAB in Geneva for a gruesome test track of 21 days. The Venturist will be delivered to clients early 2020 and can be ordered in combination with shares of the new Lebois & Co.
